Together with numerous sports clubs, organisations and partners from Paderborn, the Ahorn Sport- und Freizeit-Club Paderborn e. V. (ASC Paderborn) put together a programme featuring more than 72 activities. Alongside popular favourites such as the bungee trampoline and the balloon suspended from a crane, there were also plenty of new activities to discover. At Asphaltsurfer Paderborn, visitors could try out a variety of skateboards and put their balancing skills to the test in the balance board challenge.
The varied entertainment programme on the Radio Hochstift stage provided even more excitement. Performances by KrAWAllo, the Landesturnriege der Polizei and VFL Schlangen’s gymnastics and show dance performance to “Vaiana” captivated visitors in front of packed stands. A particular highlight was the grand mascot parade, with no fewer than 16 mascots making their way through the Ahorn-Sportpark together and bringing smiles to the faces of the younger guests in particular. Never before had so many mascots taken part in the Radio Hochstift-Ferienfinale, making the parade a very special highlight of the day.
“When children run from one activity to the next with smiles on their faces, perhaps discover a new sport along the way and are captivated by the performances, that is exactly what the Ferienfinale is all about. But this special day would not be possible without the tremendous commitment of our clubs, partners and numerous volunteers,” says Maren Richts, Sports Manager at the Ahorn-Sportpark.
Special thanks go to all the participating sports clubs, organisations and partners, as well as the more than 300 volunteers whose commitment helped make the family festival such a success. Together with Radio Hochstift, Sparkasse Paderborn-Detmold-Höxter and Stadtwerke Paderborn, the Radio Hochstift-Ferienfinale was once again able to offer free admission.
