Heinz Nixdorf was born on 9 April 1925 in Paderborn. To mark his 100th birthday, a wide range of activities and events, organised in cooperation with the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum (HNF), have characterised the calendar year 2025. The events were held under the motto “Nixdorf100” and took place at the HNF, the Ahorn Sports Park and other venues.
“Sport for everyone, at any time of day” – that is our guiding principle at Paderborn’s largest multifunctional sports centre. With our innovative, open-plan design, we set new standards in functionality and transparency, offering every sports enthusiast a comprehensive and diverse range of activities.
We make our sports facilities and equipment available to Paderborn’s sports clubs so that they can run their club activities here. Over 30 clubs offer more than 15 different sports at our centre. But even non-club members will find plenty of opportunities to get active here.

For many years, the Radio Hochstift Holiday Finale on the last Sunday of the North Rhine-Westphalia summer holidays has been a fixture in Paderborn’s calendar, offering families a fun and active way to round off the holiday season.
This year’s Radio Hochstift Holiday Finale will take place on Sunday, 30 August 2026, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
