Despite the inclement weather, the Radio Hochstift-Ferienfinale delighted visitors with games, sport and fun!

The eleventh edition of the Radio Hochstift-Ferienfinale at the Ahorn-Sportpark on 18 August 2024 braved the frequent rain showers and turned into an unforgettable experience for the whole family! Organised by the Ahorn Sport- und Freizeit-Club Paderborn (ASC Paderborn) and in collaboration with numerous sports clubs and partners, the entire Ahorn-Sportpark was transformed into a huge stage for games, sport and fun.

With a colourful programme of interactive activities and shows, the Radio Hochstift-Ferienfinale once again attracted several thousand visitors from across the region. Over 70 activities and attractions ensured there was never a dull moment and something to suit every taste. A particular highlight was the performance by Isa Glücklich. During the mascot showdown, the whole family enthusiastically cheered on their favourite mascot, hoping that it would emerge victorious and secure them tickets to the Vincent Weiß concert.

The mixed weather did nothing to dampen the positive atmosphere on the grounds. The young guests let off steam on the numerous bouncy castles, such as the impressive pirate obstacle course or the Jungle Run obstacle course. The children were swept up in the excitement of the many activities and ran barefoot across the wet grass, beaming with joy.

Ralf Pahlsmeier, Chairman of ASC Paderborn, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the holiday finale: “We are delighted that, despite the many rain showers, we were able to offer so many families a wonderful, sporty Sunday.”

Special thanks go to the sports clubs, partners and tireless volunteers, without whose support an event of this scale would not have been possible. The organisers would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the more than 300 dedicated volunteers for their efforts.

The Radio Hochstift-Ferienfinale has once again proven that it has established itself as the final summer holiday event. The next edition is already in the planning stages!
